Hank Helton

A native of Texas, Hank moved to central Illinois in 1960. He sang in choir and played trombone & baritone horn from 5th grade thru high school . Taking up guitar while a junior at Springfield Southeast High School, Hank eventually started playing professionally in 1974 with the Helton  Brothers Band and then in various other rock & roll and fusion bands. In 1981, Hank moved to California, where he graduated from Musicians Institute Applied Guitar Studies Program in Hollywood. Since returning to central Illinois in 1988, Hank has continued to play various styles of music including R&B, Jazz, Blues, Latin, and Celtic.
